On today’s post I will be sharing with you the stunning images of baby Isabella I took in January 2024 in my beautiful studio in Rockville Maryland. It was such a pleasure and honor to have this amazing family and to capture this flying newborn stage of their daughter.
Parents choose pink, purple and cream for the session so I prepare few setups based on those preferences. Baby was very calm and sleepy so I could capture many beautiful images and fill the gallery with additional digital backdrops. I started by placing the baby in the bucket on the cream floor. I incorporate hat, teddy, cream heart and floral headband. Images came out absolutely stunning.
After, I decided to move to the second setup. This time I placed the baby Isabella on the beanbag and a purple flokati rug. I also decided to change the wrap color to matches better the entire background. Check below the final result and hopefully you will fall in love with this as much as I do!
As an Award Winning Newborn photographer I understand the importance of capturing simple and timeless images on the newborn baby. During every newborn photoshoot in my studio located in Rockville Maryland I aways make sure that I fill the final gallery with those photographs. For baby Isabella I prepared cream backdrops and one of my new dresses in pink color and stars. I also added some pictures with matching cream wrap. Baby girl slept through the session so I had the opportunity to change her outfits and create so many different and beautiful newborn images.

2. Are you concerned about bringing your newborn outside?
While some parents may feel at ease taking their newborn out in public within the first 1-2 weeks, others may still feel anxious about using modern carseats. Some mothers may be focusing on their recovery and prefer to stay put, while others are eager to leave the house. Additionally, each baby’s individual risk level varies. Rest assured, there is no judgement here – simply do what makes you comfortable. 3. Is your residence a small home or apartment?
It is not an issue. Photographers who provide in-home newborn sessions simply need a small area to work in. Additionally, they come equipped with their own studio lights, making natural light unnecessary. While some clients may prefer to have their sessions at a professional newborn studio instead of their own homes, the size of your available space is not a concern at all.
4. Are props something that you genuinely enjoy?
If you have a love for baby photography, with all kinds of props ranging from bowls to beds and buckets to themed backdrops, then the studio is definitely the ideal place for you. Unlike at your home, where photographers are limited in what they can bring, here you will have access to all in studio props and equipment. From adorable outfits and wraps to cute bonnets, hats, and headbands, as well as various backdrops and floors, the possibilities for creating multiple set-ups are endless. Choosing between two locations for newborn photography session depends of the time your family has available. In-home sessions typically run for 3-4 hours, allowing photographers enough time to set up and pack up their equipment. In contrast, studio sessions generally last between 1.5-3 hours. As a newborn photographer, I always allocate up to 4-hour block for studio sessions to account for any potential fussiness or feeding breaks for the baby. Overall, studio sessions are often slightly shorter in duration.
6. Would you be willing to cover the cost for your photographer to come to your residence?
Opting for in-home sessions will incur a higher cost compared to studio sessions. Your photographer must meticulously prepare and procure all necessary props, pack and transport their equipment to your location, set it up, dismantle it, travel back and unpack everything once more. Additionally, they must possess expertise in adapting to various lighting situations and navigating potential challenges that may not arise in a studio setting.
7. Is big sibling extremely introverted and anxious around unfamiliar people?
If this is the case, he may feel more at ease in his own residence. Observing the photographer arrange and engage with his parents and newborn may assist him in becoming more relaxed.
